DAY 1: THU 11 NOV 2010: Arrive Sydney
Welcome to Sydney, Australia.

DAY 2: FRI 12 NOV 2010: Sydney (B/L)

HIGHLIGHTS OF SYDNEY PRIVATE TOUR - Designed for the sophisticated traveller, enjoy a private tour exploring the cultural, scenic and historic landmarks of Sydney. Appreciate Australia's finest artists at the Art Gallery of NSW and its Aboriginal Yiribana Gallery. Walk through The Rocks, and past the Opera House, Darling Harbour and Botanic Gardens. Leave the city and tour the scenic coastline where a 2 course lunch is included (one glass of wine included).

DAY 3: SAT 13 NOV 2010: Sydney - Ayers Rock (fly) (B)
KUNIYA WALK TOUR - In the afternoon an Aboriginal Guide will host a fascinating walk around the base of Uluru, visit the Uluru Cultural Centre, get an introduction to Aboriginal Law and Culture, visit caves at the base of Uluru where the ancestors left ochre paintings, visit Mutitjulu Waterhole, whose life-giving waters have been drunk by generations of Aboriginal people, and discover local bush foods. You will then be taken to the Sunset Viewing Area, where you will enjoy watching the sunset over Uluru, whilst sipping a glass of sparkling wine and enjoying some nibblies!

DAY 4: SUN 14 NOV 2010: Ayers Rock (B/D)
LIRU WALK TOUR - Meet your Aboriginal guide & interpreter in the Uluru Cultural Centre at the Touch Wall, and retrace the path of the Liru Ancestors through the bushland near Uluru. You will hear Aboriginal folklore, see demonstrations of ancient bush skills and learn how to throw a spear. SOUNDS OF SILENCE DINNER - Watch a brilliant outback sunset over the Olgas with the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo, the finest outback cuisine with pre-dinner drinks, canapés and a barbecue buffet meal.

DAY 5: MON 15 NOV 2010: Ayers Rock - Alice Springs (bus) (B)
ALICE SPRINGS TOWN TOUR - Tour includes visits to the historic Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service, the School of the Air where children take school lessons via on air radio (subject to availability), the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, and finishes with panoramic views over the Alice.

** OPTIONAL UPGRADE: THE GHAN TRAIN TO DARWIN
Evening departure from Alice Springs. This legendary train was named after the hardy Afghans and their camel trains which provided the only means of transport into "The Red Centre" in the early days. Overnight on the train and continue on to Darwin. Optional Katherine Gorge Cruise en route.

DAY 6: TUE 16 NOV 2010: Alice Springs - Darwin (fly) (B)

Transfer to Alice Springs airport for your flight to Darwin. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 7: WED 17 NOV 2010: Tiwi Islands (B/L)
ONE DAY TIWI ISLANDS - After a spectacular scenic flight, arrive at Bathurst Island where you are met by your Tiwi guide. Visit the museum and early mission precinct with its unique Tiwi style Catholic Church. Walk through the successful arts and crafts centres and see the artists at work. You will have the opportunity to purchase Tiwi arts and crafts as well as screen printed fabric. Spend time with some Tiwi ladies enjoying billy tea and damper while they work on their weaving and painting. See the Bathurst Island wilderness, visit a picturesque lookout also the setting of a Tiwi burial site.

DAY 8: THU 18 NOV 2010: Kakadu (B/L)
KAKADU NATIONAL PARK - The world heritage listed Kakadu National Park is a very special place. Discover a range of ecosystems and experience an ancient culture up to 40,000 years old. See some of Kakadu's unique natural features; the wetlands, wildlife and ancient rock art. A wide selection of wildlife including wallabies, jabiru, egrets, brolga and magpie geese call this region home. Enjoy a picnic lunch and then view the Aboriginal art of Ubirr Rock. Stop at Nourlangie where your guide will lead a walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art.

DAY 9: FRI 19 NOV 2010: Kakadu (B)
KAKADU NATIONAL PARK - After breakfast we join our local guide for a cruise on the famous Yellow Waters Billabong. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife this region is renowned for. In the afternoon we will return to Darwin.

DAY 10: SAT 20 NOV 2010: Darwin - Cairns (fly) (B)
Transfer to Darwin airport for your flight to Cairns.

DAY 11: SUN 21 NOV 2010: Cairns - Cape Tribulation (4WD) (B/L)
Travel north along one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives to Cooya Beach to join Kubirri Warra brothers on one of their beach, mudflat and mangrove walks. Enjoy fresh, home made damper, tea and coffee, before continuing along the Daintree Coast to Daintree Village for a cruise on the Daintree River. Have a picnic lunch on the river shore before we visit the spectacular and pristine Niau Falls. Your guided walk will unlock the secrets of this fascinating eco-system. We then travel to Cape Tribulation, crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry. At your overnight accommodation spend the night in the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park.

DAY 12: MON 22 NOV 2010: Cape Tribulation - Cooktown (4WD) (B/L)
Walk along Cape Tribulation Beach through the heart of Daintree National Park, and travel by 4WD along Bloomfield Track. Arriving at Wujal Wujal we visit Bloomfield Falls with traditional custodians who share some of their knowledge about this special and sacred place. Travel to Helenvale for lunch at the Lions Den Hotel, an Aussie bush pub established in 1875. We then visit Black Mountains, a geological oddity, spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. At Cooktown have your camera ready for the 360 degree panoramic views from Grassy Hill over Cooktown and the Coral Sea.

DAY 13: TUE 23 NOV 2010: Cooktown - Cairns (4WD) (B)
Return to Cairns.

DAY 14: WED 24 NOV 2010: Cairns (B)
Day at leisure. Optional tours available to Kuranda or the Great Barrier Reef.

DAY 15: THU 25 NOV 2010: Depart Cairns (B)
Departure assistance and transfer to Cairns International Airport for your departing flight.
